T-Maze Packaging

T-Maze is the first flagship souvenir crafted for T-Works - India's largest prototyping center. It takes the form of a gamified miniature of the T-Works facility in Hyderabad. It is complete with recognizable floor plans with labels for each of the workshops housed within. The packaging of the maze too features a sketch of the T-Works compound as viewed from above.

The idea here was that once the packaging was open, it would resemble the plot of land T-Works was built upon, depicting the compound and parking. This would also act as a pedestal for the user to showcase the souvenir.

A conscious effort was made to retain some imperfections that would come about in illustrations made by hand like the lines exceeding the corners, double lines, the line weight varying in a single stroke and slightly wavy straight lines.

We wanted the packaging to showcase a glimpse of the process that goes into designing something - starting with one of the most basic ways to visually represent ideas - a rough sketch. This direction was employed keeping in mind that one of T-Works’ main goals was to be transparent about the processes it follows.

This was also the reason the packaging also mentioned the version number of the final prototype that was taken into production - v8.3 - to showcase the amount of work that went into designing the souvenir.
