This is the story of how we took home the RedBull Soapbox trophy while strapped to a hospital bed - or at least that's what we got everyone to believe ;)

The RedBull Soapbox race is an event fueled purely by an urge to build, jugaad, a sense of humor, a sugary caffeinated drink and gravity. The fun begins when teams after teams let loose their custom made cart, equipped only with a driver, brakes and a steering down a steep road decorated with obstacles. The objective is simple - make it to the finish line faster than the other teams. Oh and also don't lose the driver or the cart along the way.

But just speed won't get you the cake - or in this case a can of aerated juice - there's also points for performance - not in horsepower, but in theatrics. Before each downhill dash, the team must begin with a skit to introduce their funky theme before they vehemently push one of their own down the slope.
